Otmar Schär (also Ottmar Schär ; born November 17, 1920 in Jetřichov , † January 20, 1977 in Heilbronn ) was a German architect who worked in Heilbronn and Nordheim . He is considered the architect of the reconstruction period.
biography
Schär, who was born in the Sudetenland , fought in the Air Force during the Second World War , losing a leg in action over France. Therefore he was admitted to the Heilbronn hospital. During the war he studied architecture in Stuttgart and Prague . After the end of the war he was interned briefly, but then returned to Heilbronn. In 1948 he opened an architecture office there. He worked as an architect in Heilbronn until 1970.
