The Otome Point ( Japanese 乙 女 の 鼻 Otome-no-hana , German 'girl's nose' ) is a headland on the Crown Prince Olav coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located 3 km southwest of Cape Hinode .
Aerial photographs and measurements of the Japanese Antarctic expedition, which was carried out from 1957 to 1962, were used to map them. The descriptive naming made by Japanese scientists in 1973 was translated into English by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names two years later in an adapted partial translation.
