The Otoskwin River is a tributary of Attawapiskat Lake in the Kenora District of the Canadian province of Ontario .
The Otoskwin River has its origin in Maxim Lake . It flows in a predominantly northeastern direction through the Canadian Shield and flows into the western end of Attawapiskat Lake after about 350 km. Major tributaries of the Otoskwin River are Williams River , Spruce River , Pineimuta River , Kawinogans River, and Trading River . On its way it flows through the lakes Otoskwin Lake , Ozhiski Lake and Kabania Lake . At the gauge below Badesdawa Lake , the mean discharge is 85 m³ / s. The lower reaches of the river - from Otoskwin Lake - lies within the Otoskwin / Attawapiskat River Provincial Park .
