The Otso is a Finnish icebreaker that was built in 1986 at the Wärtsilä shipyard in Helsinki under construction number 472.

The ship is powered by a diesel-electric drive . The four diesel engines from Wärtsilä have a combined output of 21,846 kW, of which up to 15,000 kW are used to electrically drive the ship's two propellers.

The ship is owned by the Finnish Shipping Enterprise (FINSTASHIP), which operates the ship in the Baltic Sea in the Gulf of Bothnia and Finland .
