The Otto Nuschke Decoration was an award from the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was donated in 1960 in three stages, bronze , silver and gold . At the 10th party congress of the CDU in Erfurt from 22-25. June 1960 the foundation of this honorary badge was announced. The medal was awarded for meritorious work in the party. The badge has the shape of a medal with a diameter of 20.5 mm. On her obverse it shows a head portrait of Otto Nuschke looking to the left , on the left side of which the inscription: OTTO NUSCHKE and on the right side his life data: * 1883 + 1957 can be read. The reverse shows the five-line inscription: MARKS OF HONOR / THE / CHRISTIAN / DEMOCRATIC / UNION . The medal was worn on a 17.5 × 7 mm large, light blue enameled clasp, in the front of which two vertical yellow central stripes are inserted, which are about 5 mm from the edge of the clasp. The Otto Nuschke badge of honor was worn on the upper left side of the chest.

The Otto Nuschke plaque donated by the CDU in 1958 must be distinguished from the Otto Nuschke Decoration .
