Otto Andres (born December 28, 1902 in Tiegenhagen , Marienburg district (West Prussia) ; † January 31, 1975 in Bad Dürkheim ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

The engineer joined the NSDAP in 1930 and worked for the party as district leader of Großes Werder. In the People's Day election in Gdansk in 1930 he was elected to the People's Day . After the " seizure of power " in 1933 (initially provisionally) he was appointed district administrator of the Gross Werder district. In 1939 Andres took over the Dirschau district of the NSDAP as district leader . From January 1940 to March 1941 he was deputy Gauleiter of Danzig-West Prussia. After Andres, whom the former district president Fritz Hermann described as a "bad guy" , had fallen out with Gauleiter Albert Forster , Andres reported to the Wehrmacht , with which he took part in the Second World War .

Andres joined the National Socialist Reichstag on July 7, 1940, and was a member of the Reichstag as a representative of Danzig-West Prussia until his mandate expired on July 26, 1943.

After the end of the Second World War, Andres was extradited to Poland by the British. In Poland he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement in hostage shootings and the murder of 16 priests. In 1956 he was released early due to an amnesty and was able to travel to the Federal Republic. Several preliminary investigations initiated against him in the Federal Republic of Germany have been closed.
