Otto Bieligk

Otto Bieligk (born March 16, 1897 in Züllichau , Brandenburg , † August 14, 1964 in Braunschweig ) was a German engineer and university professor .

Life

Bieligk completed his studies at the Technical University of Hanover as a graduate engineer and worked in industry until 1925. From 1925 to 1932 he was an assistant at the chair for solid construction and at the civil engineering laboratory at the TH Hannover , where he received his doctorate in 1927.

From 1932 to 1939 Bieligk worked as a senior engineer at the Institute for Civil Engineering at the TH Hannover and completed his habilitation in 1932 in materials testing and building materials science . From 1938 to 1942 he had a teaching position at the TH Hannover, where he worked from 1939 to 1942 as chief engineer in the architecture department. From 1942 to 1945 he was a professor at the State Materials Testing Office in Berlin-Dahlem . After the Second World War , Bieligk was again active in industry from 1945 to 1950 and from 1950 to 1952 he was a consulting engineer for civil engineering and a test engineer for structural engineering . In 1952 he became a full professor at the Technical University of Braunschweig .
