Otto Dörrenberg (born June 9, 1888 in Eckenhagen-Lepperhof ; † December 3, 1961 there ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

Dörrenberg was born the son of a self-employed farmer. After attending elementary school, he was trained at an agricultural school. From 1908 to 1910 Dörrenberg belonged to the 5th Westphalian Infantry Regiment 53 in Cologne-Kalk. In July 1911, he set up as a self-employed farmer in Lepperhof near Eckenhagen . In the same year he married.

From August 1914 to March 1916 Dörrenberg took part in the First World War. After the war he returned to his job as a farmer. On October 1, 1929 Dörrenberg joined the NSDAP . On August 26, 1930 he also became a member of the SA , in which he was successively promoted to Sturmführer (March 10, 1931), Sturmbannführer (September 15, 1931) and Obersturmführer.

From March 1933 to April 1938 Dörrenberg sat as a member of the Reichstag, in which he represented constituency 20 (Cologne-Aachen). As a member of parliament, he voted, among other things, for the Enabling Act of March 1933 introduced by the Hitler government .

Dörrenberg was also a member of the local council of his home country, a member of the Chamber of Agriculture in Bonn and a district and provincial parliament member.
