Otto Eybner
Otto Eybner (born February 6, 1856 in St. Pölten ; † February 23, 1917 there ) was an Austrian politician ( DFP ) and 18th mayor of St. Pölten.
Life
Otto Eybner was born on February 6, 1856 as the son of a middle-class family in St. Pölten, where he also attended grammar school. He then trained as a businessman in Vienna.
In 1878 he took part in the occupation of Bosnia-Herzegovina as a lieutenant in a Hungarian infantry regiment , after his return he took over his father's iron and coal business.
In 1885 he was sent to the local council of St. Pölten. In 1905 he became vice mayor, the following year he took over the post of mayor of the city, which he held until his death.
He died of cardiac insufficiency on February 23, 1917 after surviving pneumonia and surgery (removal of some ribs).
Eybner had five children with his wife Leopoldine (nee Pittner, sister of Franz Pittner .) Since 1888 : Helene, Hermine, Blandine, Otto and the later chamber actor Richard Eybner .
