Otto Gründler (doctor)

Otto Gründler (born July 20, 1826 in Nordhausen ; † January 31, 1893 ) was a German physician and naturalist.

Life

After attending the Nordhausen grammar school, Gründler studied medicine and natural sciences in Halle and Berlin and received his doctorate in 1850. He practiced and later became chief physician at the hospital in Aschersleben . In 1885 he was appointed to the medical council.

In his free time he researched the Diatomaceae and published about it. a. in the Atlas der Diatomaceen-Kunde published by Adolf Schmidt .

On August 10, 1884 Otto Gründler was registered under registration no. In 2457 admitted to the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina .
