Otto Gramcko

Otto Gramcko (born October 8, 1901 in Hamburg , † March 26, 1990 in Ahrensburg ) was a German local and state politician of the SPD .

Life

Gramcko was a commercial clerk for social security. In the SPD since 1931, he was a member of the municipal council in Bünningstedt (Stormarn) from 1945 to 1951 . Since 1948 Gramcko was a member of the Stormarn district assembly and there from 1950 to 1951 the first district president, as well as chairman of the SPD district assembly.

In the Stormarn SPD he was an active member of the district executive committee, where he campaigned for the reconstruction and improvement of the school system in Stormarn. He worked on documenting the history of the SPD in Stormarn until well into the 1960s.

From 1947 onwards, with one interruption (1950 to 1954, 2nd electoral period) until 1971, he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament (in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th electoral terms as a directly elected constituency member; in the 6th Electoral term as member of the list). The main focus of his work in the state parliament was transport policy. In addition, he worked in the areas of denazification, refugee affairs, health and youth in the respective state parliament committees.

On December 30, 1966, at the suggestion of the Schleswig-Holstein state government, he received the First Class Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his political commitment.
