Otto Hünnerkopf (born March 14, 1951 in Wiesentheid ) is a German graduate engineer for land maintenance and a Bavarian politician ( CSU ).

Life and work

After attending the Egbert-Gymnasium Münsterschwarzach, Otto Hünnerkopf finished high school with the Abitur at the Armin-Knab-Gymnasium in Kitzingen. From 1972 to 1976 he studied land maintenance at the Technical University of Munich - Weihenstephan branch; He completed this with the degree of Dipl.-Ing. for land maintenance with a focus on landscape ecology.

From 1976 to 1980 he carried out his research work at the Society for Radiation Research (today Helmholtz Center Munich ) in Neuherberg. In 1980 he was promoted to Dr. agr. PhD. Until 1989 he was employed by the Schweinfurt road construction authority . From 1989 to 2003 he was head of the department for rural development in Würzburg. At times he had a teaching position at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt in the surveying course.

Political career

Hünnerkopf has been a member of the CSU since 1972. Since 1990 he has represented the CSU in the market council of Wiesentheid and temporarily acted as third mayor. Since 2002 he has also been an elected member of the Kitzingen district council for the CSU. In 2003 he was elected district chairman of his party in Kitzingen.

Otto Hünnerkopf represented the constituency of Kitzingen ( constituency of Lower Franconia ) in the Bavarian state parliament from 2003 to 2018 . In 2003 he was directly elected to the state parliament with 54.3%, in 2008 it was 44.7% and in 2013 50.3%. Hünnerkopf was a member of the Committee for Environment and Consumer Protection of the Bavarian State Parliament . In 2018 he no longer stood for election. His successor as a direct candidate is Barbara Becker .
