Otto Hermann Grevesmühl (born July 6, 1919 in Strasbourg ; † August 14, 1981 in Bremerhaven ) was a German musician, concert master , conductor and concert organizer in Bremerhaven.

biography

Grevesmühl was the son of the musician, concertmaster and music teacher Hermann Grevesmühl . He grew up in Bremen and attended the secondary school in Vegesack . He studied at the Berlin Music School and the Bremen Music School . He was a soldier from 1940 to 1945 in World War II . After the war he played as a freelance musician in Bremerhaven. In 1949 he became first concertmaster of the Bremerhaven municipal orchestra. The Grevesmühl Quartet could be heard frequently in town. In 1977 he resigned from the city's public service. With his wife Melsine, geb. Bock von Wülfingen, he had been running the North German Concert Directorate with u. a. his master concerts
