Otto Hesse (District Administrator)

Otto Hesse (* 1821 in Liebenburg , Kingdom of Hanover ; † January 31, 1904 in Blankenburg (Harz) ) was a Prussian district administrator.

Otto Hesse was born in Liebenburg in the Kingdom of Hanover in 1821 as the son of the local bailiff, Carl Christian Hesse, and studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1843 , where he became a member of the Corps Hannovera .

From 1853 he worked as an official assessor in Uslar and from 1856 in Hildesheim. In 1879 he was appointed bailiff of the Hildesheim office and district chief of the local steering committee. After the introduction of the Prussian district order for the province of Hanover in 1884, he was promoted to district administrator in 1885 . He held this office for a further 11 years until 1896. He was a privy councilor.

Hesse was married and had a son and two daughters.
