Otto I of Dachau Valley
Otto I. von Dachau-Valley (also von Scheyern-Dachau-Valley) († after November 5, 1130 ) was a son of Arnold I. von Scheyern (Dachau). His mother was Beatrix von Reipersberg . He founded the branch "von Scheyern-Dachau-Valley".
Life
Grub fell to him through his wife and he called himself Otto de Grube (also Otto de Greuba , Otto de Grunba or nobilis Otto de Gruoba ) in a founding document of the Dietramszell monastery on October 16, 1102 . 1111 one finds him as a seal witness in Bozen . He moved his seat (probably after 1120) from Burg Grub to the newly built Burg Valley , after which his successors were also named. His interest is expected to by 1124 more on the Mangfallraum have focused, as he called himself (in the gift book of the provost Berchtesgaden ) Otto de Ualein .
1122 founded and be vogtete he Bernried on Lake Starnberg . In 1123 it is called Otto von Dachau and from 1124 also after Valley , which gave this branch the name of the Wittelsbach family .

Otto married Adelheid von Weilheim (first mentioned in 1122 in a document from the Bernried monastery ). The marriage had five children:
