Otto Leitner

Otto Leitner (* 1930 in Austria ) has been working as an architect since the 1950s .

Otto Leitner attended the Salzburg trade school with Wilhelm Holzbauer and Friedrich Kurrent (forerunner of today's HTBLuVA Salzburg ) and with them and Johannes Spalt the master class of Clemens Holzmeister at the Academy of Applied Arts Vienna . In 1950 the four founded " Working Group 4 " while still students , in order to jointly take part in architecture competitions under this name.

In the Salzburg “School of Seeing”, the summer academy under the direction of Oskar Kokoschka , the four made the acquaintance of the architect Konrad Wachsmann , who emigrated to the USA in 1941 and who had a considerable influence on the group with his innovative way of working.
