Otto Preuss (lawyer)

Otto Preuss (born November 3, 1851 in Detmold ; † February 11, 1933 there ) was a German lawyer, judicial councilor and member of the state parliament ( DNVP ).

Life

Otto Preuß was President of the District Court in Detmold (1904–1922) and a secret senior judiciary.

In 1917 a local group of the conservative-ethnic Independent Committee for a German Peace was formed in Lippe . Preuss was one of the main agitators of this group. He was also a member of the German Fatherland Party founded in September 1917 . In 1919 he ran in vain for the German constitutional assembly .

In 1919/20, Preuss was one of five members of the DNVP in the Lippe state parliament, alongside Walter Baumgarten, Simon Kreiling, Wilhelm Krieger and Wilhelm Kuhlmann .
