Otto Schäfer (architect, 1882)
Otto Schäfer (born May 31, 1882 in Tüttleben ; † February 21, 1959 in Zweibrücken ) was a German architect .
Life
Schäfer studied architecture in Dessau and Berlin. He came to Zweibrücken in 1904 during the renovation of the Alexander Church. In 1908 he designed the Villa Ipser there . As a result, he was commissioned to plan numerous residential buildings and villas in the Zweibrücken area. With the small but “convincing achievement” qualified church in Bliesdalheim (Saarpfalz) he contributed to the application of Art Nouveau in Protestant church building.
He was a member of the Association of German Architects (BDA).
