Otto Weitling
Otto Weitling (born January 12, 1930 in Haderslev ) is a Danish architect and worked internationally.
Together with Hans Dissing he founded the Dissing + Weitling office and became known in particular through his work with Arne Jacobsen . Together they worked on various buildings by Jacobsen, such as the Mainz City Hall , the Hamburg Christianeum , the Danish Embassy in London and the Baltic Sea spa on Fehmarn . Weitling and Dissing continued these projects after Jacobsen's death in 1971. He later worked with Dissing from 1975 to 1985 on the new building of the North Rhine-Westphalia Art Collection in Düsseldorf and the building of the Central Bank of Iraq in Baghdad. He is an honorary member of the Association of German Architects BDA . In 1991 he received the CF Hansen Medal .
