Otto von Dieskau

Otto von Dieskau , mostly von Dießkau at the time , († July 22, 1597 ) was an electoral chamber and mountain ridge as well as a manor owner.

Life

Otto was a member of the Saxon noble family von Dieskau and was the son of Otto von Dieskau (the Elder) and Magdalena née von Techwitz. His father died of injuries sustained in the Battle of Sievershausen in 1553. As a result, Otto came into possession of the two manors Finsterwalde and Glesien at an early stage . He had to share the latter property with his brother Hans, but later bought it from him. On the castle Finsterwalde he made a number of conversions and extensions. When he died, he left behind the three underage sons Otto, Rudolph and Dietrich von Dieskau.
