Otto zu Dohna-Reichertswalde

Friedrich Leopold Alexander Heinrich Carl Otto Burggraf and Count zu Dohna-Reichertswalde (born April 26, 1802 in Reichertswalde ; † July 5, 1875 ibid) was a Prussian nobleman and politician .

Life

Otto zu Dohna came from the Reichertswalde line of the richly wealthy Dohna family in East Prussia . He was the eldest son of the majorate owner Christoph Emil Graf zu Dohna-Reichertswalde (1775-1842) and Ottilie zu Dohna-Lauck (-Wundlacken) (1784-1808). Otto zu Dohna was not married and had no offspring. His younger brother Feodor became heir .

Otto zu Dohna studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1820 he was one of the eleven founders of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg , which later made him an honorary member. From 1842 he was majorate owner of the approximately 20,500 acres of Reichertswalde in the district of Mohrungen . He was a legal knight of the Order of St. John and hereditary member of the Provincial Parliament of Prussia . In 1847/48 Otto zu Dohna had a seat in the gentleman's curia of the First and Second United State Parliaments . From 1854 until his death he was a member of the Prussian mansion with hereditary rights .
