Oturu is a small settlement in the Far North District in the Northland region ofthe North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 3 km northeast of Kaitaia and is connected to the New Zealand State Highway 1 via the place. About 2 km north of Oturu is the Kaitaia airport with a 1,400 m long asphalt runway.
Education
The Oturu School , a primary school with around 170 students, is located in the settlement .
