ISO 3166-2: NZ

The list of ISO-3166-2 codes for New Zealand contains the codes for the 16 regions and a special island authority .

The codes consist of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part gives the country code according to ISO 3166-1 (for New Zealand NZ), the second the code for the region or authority .

The current country code was last updated on November 2015.

The current codes are available on the ISO website under #iso: code: 3166: NZ .

In the course of the changes from November 2015, the two main islands of New Zealand, the North Island and the South Island , lost their ISO-3166-2 code ( NZ-Nrespectively NZ-S).
