Otwin Brucker

Otwin Brucker (born August 20, 1940 in Undingen ) is a former German local politician and community council president.

Otwin Brucker trained in high-level administration . In 1962 he began his professional career as an inspector in the town hall of Pliezhausen . In 1966 he was elected mayor of Pliezhausen and took office on January 10, 1967. He was confirmed in office in four re-elections. In 2005, Otwin Brucker resigned his position at the age of 65 before the end of the electoral term and went into retirement. For a long time, Brucker was the longest serving mayor in Baden-Württemberg.

Brucker had been a member of the district council in the Tübingen district since 1971 and in the Reutlingen district from 1973 after the community reform . In 2014 he left this honorary position after more than 43 years.

From 1994 to 2005 Otwin Brucker was President of the Baden-Württemberg Community Assembly .

The television journalist Ute Brucker is his daughter.
