Solution:
After 1. h5? Ka6 !! 2. h6 g3 3. h7 g2 4. Kg7 g1D + gives Black check until the black queen has reached g6 and the white king has to move to h8. It follows KB5, DF7 and Qf8 matt . A possible variant is 5. Kf7 Qd4 6. Kg8 Qd8 + 7. Kg7 Qg5 + 8. Kf7 Qh6 9. Kg8 Qg6 + 10. Kh8 Kb5! 11. a6 Qf7 12. a7 Qf8 mate.
With 1. a5 – a6 !! if this possibility is prevented from the start, the endgame remains a draw.
