Pontifical Korean College
The Pontifical Korean College ( Italian Pontificio Collegio Coreano ; English Korean Pontifical College ) in Rome is a papal college for seminarians . It is also a seminary for South Korean priests studying at the Pontifical Universities .
The college is in Rome in Via degli Aldobrandeschi housed 124 and was on 23 March 2001 by Pope John Paul II. Inaugurated and handed over to his determination. A delegation of South Korean bishops , led by Stephen Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan , Archbishop of Seoul , also attended the celebrations. The educational institution is sponsored by the Korean Bishops' Conference ; the students are selected by the Korean diocesan bishops and sent to Rome. The college chose Saint Andreas Kim Taegon as its patron saint .
