Péter Halmosi (born September 25, 1979 in Szombathely ) is a Hungarian football player on the position in the left midfield, who is currently under contract with Haladás Szombathely .
Career
Halmosi began his professional career at Szombathelyi Haladás , the club he had played for in his youth. After he was appointed to the Hungarian national team in 2002, Halmosi moved to the Grazer AK . From there he moved to Debreceni VSC in 2003 , one of the most successful clubs in Hungary . There he quickly developed into a regular player, but he lost this place again in 2007, whereupon he was awarded to Plymouth Argyle . At Argyle he celebrated the 3-1 home win against Norwich City on January 13, 2007 . After a year on loan, after being associated with numerous other big clubs such as Celtic Glasgow and Blackburn Rovers , he finally moved to Plymouth Argyle for the club's most expensive transfer (£ 400,000). The contract was signed on May 16, 2007. On July 16, 2008, Halmosi signed a four-year contract with Hull City . He made his debut for Hull City in the friendly against Chesterfield FC on July 22, 2008. He completed his first competitive game on August 16, 2008 in a 2-1 home win against Fulham FC .
In January 2010 he was loaned to the Hungarian first division team Haladás Szombathely for the rest of the 2009/2010 season.
On January 4, 2011, Halmosi left Hull City by mutual agreement. Since January 14th he has been playing for Haladás Szombathely again.
International
Halmosi has played for the Hungarian national soccer team since 2002 and has played 30 games for them so far, in which he has not yet scored a goal.
