PESA Acatus II is a four-part electric multiple unit produced by the Polish vehicle construction company PESA , which is used by the Polish railway company Przewozy Regionalne as the EN 77 series. It is the successor to the PESA Acatus .
technical features
A railcar consists of two control cars and two intermediate cars. The two control cars each have a driver's cab and are equipped with a crash-optimized front. In the event of an impact, part of the structure deforms and thus protects staff and passengers to a certain extent. The wagons are connected to one another and firmly coupled with Jakobs bogies . A Scharfenberg coupling is mounted on the end car , which enables up to three railcars to be coupled together.
The control cars each have one door on each side of the vehicle, the intermediate cars are equipped with two doors. Fold-out steps are attached to each door to make it easier to get in and out of low platforms .
The cars are built using low-floor technology and can be walked on throughout. A railcar has a total of 193 seats, 20 of which are 1st class . There is also a multi-purpose compartment , two toilets and a service compartment .
commitment
The railcars were purchased by the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in 2010 for regional traffic and are used from Krakow .
