Erwin Rauscher

Erwin Rauscher (born July 1, 1950 in Mauthausen ) is an Austrian school developer, teacher and university professor. He is the founding rector of the Lower Austria University of Education and is its rector in the third term. From October 2013 to January 2018 Erwin Rauscher was also chairman of the rectors' conference of the Austrian universities of teacher education.

Life

Erwin Rauscher studied mathematics, philosophy, psychology and pedagogy at the University of Vienna from 1968 to 1973 and completed his studies with Mag.phil. and Dr.phil. completed. From 1979 to 1985 he studied Independent Religious Education at the Theological University Linz and with Mag.theol. and Dr theol. completed. With his habilitation colloquium at the University of Graz (1990) (reviewers: Edgar Josef Korherr , Graz, and Peter Posch , Klagenfurt) he received the venia docendi in religious education and pedagogy. His habilitation thesis was awarded the Innitzer Prize “for outstanding scientific achievements”.

From 1973 he worked as an AHS professor, from 1977 to 1990 as administrator of the newly founded first sports high school in Austria, from 1990 to 1994 as director at BG / BRG Ried and from 1995 to 2006 as director at the newly founded BRG Schloss Wagrain in Vöcklabruck.

He was or is a lecturer on subject areas of school pedagogy (school management, school development, school management, school innovation) at the universities of Salzburg, Graz, Linz and the University of Klagenfurt . Guest lectures at universities and colleges in Germany and abroad. Multiple speaker activities in advanced and advanced training for teachers of all school types nationally and internationally.
