P 16

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The music group P 16 was founded in the autumn of 1981 in a garage in Kitzscher near Borna / GDR under the name "Schulrock", with their cheeky and disrespectful manner they attracted attention. After some rehearsal time, they introduced themselves to Hartmut Lorenz . At that time he worked as a DJ and organized concerts. The music was tailored precisely to the youth. In their songs the everyday life of the young people was reflected, which is probably why they were so important as a school band. They were quickly represented at festivals, on the radio and on television. Their style of music was based in pop.
