The building of the Paços do Concelho in the Portuguese coastal town of Figueira da Foz is the seat of the Câmara Municipal , the town hall.

The town hall illuminated at night, during the city festival on St. John's Day (2006)

It was built in 1897 by the Italian architects Cesare Ianz and Giuseppe Fiorentini . The interior was designed by Ernesto Korrodi , who decorated the ballroom, the Salão nobre , with elaborate stucco work . The oil paintings are also worth mentioning, for example Aparição da Virgem do Carmelo a Simão Stock by Pedro Alexandrino , and the portraits by Manuel Fernandes Tomás ( painted by Gilberto Renda ) and by António dos Santos Rocha , an unknown artist.

The front of the building faces south, on the Avenida Saraiva de Carvalho , which runs along Mondego , and is crowned by a city coat of arms. To the west, the building closes the row of houses on Avenida with a facade that is almost equal to its front, with a view to the right to Praça 8 de Maio and to the left to the city's marina .

The building has been listed as Imóvel de Interest Municipal since 2005.

To this day it is the seat of the city administration and part of its citizen services.
