Water lily pond project

Project lily pond is the first live album of Philipp Poisel . It was released on August 17th, 2012 on Grönland Records . It rose to number 1 in the German charts.

Emergence

The album was named after the tour of the same name that took place in spring 2012. The pieces were played live with a string quartet and an old piano . The singer Alin Coen accompanied Poisel.

reception

Sarah Mikoleizik from Focus magazine gave the album 4 out of 5 stars and wrote that every song was a “little gem”: “Although there is not a single new song on the live album, the listener is surprised, because every piece sounds a little different than you know it. ”Simon Langemann from Laut.de awarded 4 out of 5 stars. He wrote that the pieces were “a little alone with applause fadeout instead of seamless transitions”. On the whole, however, Philipp Poisel presented the water lily pond project as an all-round success.

Happy to be there did not appear on the CD, as this song is played in the original concert without any amplification. So it wasn't recorded either.
