Phabullo Rodrigues da Silva , better known as Pabllo Vittar , (* 1. November 1994 in Santa Inês , Maranhão is) a Brazilian singer , composer , performer and drag queen . Pabllo Vittar is currently the drag queen with the most followers worldwide on Instagram (10.3 million, as of March 2020).

Life

Vittar began to devote himself to music at the age of 13 and performed cover songs at family celebrations, birthdays and in schools. As a teenager, Vittar began to write his own songs and performed infrequently in nightclubs and at Prides , which led to his becoming known locally in the LGBT scene.

He became known in the media for the song Open Bar , their Portuguese video clip version of the song Lean On by Major Lazer . The clip mixes pop with elements of samba and has been viewed more than a million times on YouTube in less than four months .

In response to the immense success, Vittar devoted himself more to music and released his first EP Open Bar in December 2015 . It was produced by Rodrigo Gorky , a member of the Brazilian band Bonde do Rolê . In the same year Vittar began his first tour under the title "Open Bar Tour", on which he drew attention to the national LGBT movement throughout Brazil.

On January 12, 2017, Vittar released his first studio album Vai Passar Mal and immediately entered the top 10 of the Brazilian iTunes charts. This, the follow-up albums Não Para Não and 111 were awarded platinum in Brazil .
