Pablo Bruna
Pablo Bruna (born June 22, 1611 in Daroca , ( Aragon ); † June 27, 1679 there ) was a Spanish organist and composer .
Live and act
Pablo Bruna went blind as a child after suffering from smallpox . After training as an organist, he first worked in his hometown of Daroca as the organist of the local basilica. The Blind Man of Daroca achieved such fame in 17th century Spain that even Kings Philip IV and Charles II visited Daroca to hear his music and play. In 1650 King Philip IV requested him to be court organist. Bruna followed this call, but spent the last years of his life back in his homeland, where he died in June 1679 a few days after reaching the age of 68.
