Pablo Cacheda (born January 9, 1992 in Lalín , Galicia ) is a Spanish handball player .

Career

The 1.88 m tall and 79 kg heavy middle back player made his debut in the Spanish league ASOBAL in the 2011/12 season with SD Octavio , for whom he scored 260 goals in two years. After his inaugural season, Cacheda was voted the best rookie in the league's all-star team ( siete ideal ). For the 2013/14 season he moved to the traditional club BM Valladolid , for which he was only able to play seven games (37 goals) due to a torn cruciate ligament at the beginning of the season . After the descent of Valladolid, he signed with the 2014 runner-up at Naturhouse La Rioja .

Pablo Cacheda led the Spanish youth and junior selections to silver at the 2010 U-18 European Championship, silver at the 2011 U-19 World Championship, gold at the 2012 U-20 European Championship and silver at the 2013 U-21 World Championship , where he was voted best playmaker on the All-Star Team.
