Pablo Miró-Cortez (born June 3, 1981 in Karlsruhe ) is a French-German-Chilean pianist .

Career

Pablo Miró-Cortez comes from a family of musicians, both parents are pianists who taught him to play the piano from the age of 7.

In 1990 he was accepted as a preschooler at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in the class of Olga Rissin-Morenova, where he studied for seven years. After a concert tour in Chile in 1997, Pablo Miró went to Paris , where he worked with Dominique Merlet for four and a half years his repertoire a. a. extended and gained additional concert experience in French music.

The work in master classes in Lugano , Switzerland (1999) and in Paris (2000) with Halina Czerny-Stefańska brought a decisive turning point for Pablo Miró in his life. Concert activity

Pablo Miró can already look back on an extensive international concert career. At the age of 12 he was already playing with musicians from the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg under the direction of Naoyuki Taneda. In 1995 he made a concert tour to the United States with the string orchestra "Con Brio" under the direction of George Moradian. He kicked u. a. in Germany , Poland , the Czech Republic , Slovakia , the United States , Canada and Mexico as a soloist as well as a chamber musician, e.g. B. in series such as "European Chamber Music", "Concerts by Prize Winners of Pianistic Competitions", u. a. after winning the 2nd prize at the Chopin Competition in Antonin (Poland) in 2006. Several times he teamed up with the Russian cellist Dmitrij Eremin, with the Mexican violist Sergio Ortiz and with other artists in duo formations. In 2009 he performed chamber music at two festivals, first in Cracow on the 50th anniversary of Bohuslav Martinů's death , in Antonin Castle on the 160th anniversary of Frédéric Chopin's death in the series "Chopin in Autumn Colors", as part of the VII Music Days Felix Mendelssohn 2012 in Cracow and recently in the Foro Internacional de Música Nueva Manuel Enríquez ( Mexico City ).

Pablo Miró taught piano in Kraków at the Władysław Żeleński Conservatory, and from 2010 to 2012 he worked in the vocal department of the Kraków Music Academy in the song and opera repertoire with singing students as well as in the opera school. He currently lives in Mexico , after studying his repertoire as part of a doctoral degree with the Canadian pianists Paul Stewart and Jean-Eudes Vaillancourt. a. in the music of Max Reger and English post-romanticism at the University of Montreal . On the occasion of the Liszt Year 2011 he also recorded a CD on Acte Préalable with a comparison of works by the composers Franz Liszt and Maurice Ravel . He currently teaches at the Escuela Superior de Música (INBAL) and the Universidad Anáhuac México . He is co-founder of the new Mexican piano trio Trío Ruiz Miró ( Mexico City ).
