Pabna ( Bengali পাবনা) is a city in Bangladesh that is part of the Rajshahi division . The district capital in the Pabna district is not far north of the Padma River . The city is part of the Upazila Pabna Sadar. The population of Pabna in 2011 was over 190,000.

The city is connected to the rest of the country by the Bangladesh Railway and several roads. In addition to several universities, the city is also home to the largest psychiatric clinic in Bangladesh.
