Patrick James "Paddy" McCourt (born December 16, 1983 in Derry ) is a Northern Irish football player . Since 2013 he has played for the English second division club Barnsley FC .
He began his professional career at the English club Rochdale , but then moved to Dublin to the Shamrock Rovers and then to Derry City in his hometown . There he was able to recommend himself for his self-declared favorite club Celtic from Glasgow, to which he was transferred in summer 2008 and played until 2013.
