The Pakistan Television Corporation (short PTV ) is the state TV channel of Pakistan .
history
PTV began broadcasting in 1964 from two small stations in Lahore and Dhaka. In 1967 the television centers in Rawalpindi and Karachi started operations, in 1974 in Peshawar and Quetta, and in 1987 in Islamabad. Color broadcasts have been available since 1976. The second program PTV 2 started in 1992 , from which the first PTV World emerged in 1998 and PTV News in 2007 .
