Nysy ( Ukrainian Низи ; Russian Низы Nisy ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast with around 2,800 inhabitants (2014).

Nysy was founded in 1662 and has been an urban-type settlement since 1956.

geography

Nysy is located in Sumy Raion on the left bank of the Psel , a tributary of the Dnieper , 22 km south of the center of Sumy Oblast . In the east the settlement borders on the village of Nysnya Syrowatka .

Part of the settlement council commune beside Nysy, nor the village Luhowe (Лугове - 2016 Dserschynske / Дзержинське ⊙ ) with about 200 inhabitants.
