Esman ( Ukrainian Есмань ; Russian Эсмань Esman ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast with around 1,400 inhabitants (2019).

Esman has been an urban-type settlement since 1968. Between 1957 and 19 May 2016, the village was called Tscherwone (Ukrainian Червоне ; Russian Червоное Tscherwonoje ).

Esman is located in the Hluchiw district near the M 02 trunk road and on the banks of the Esman ( Есмань ), a 50 km long right tributary of the Klewen ( Клевень ), 22 km northeast of the Hluchiw district center and about 160 km northwest of the Sumy oblast center .

In addition to Esman, the settlement council also includes the village of Luschky ( Лужки ) with around 70 inhabitants.
