The Edificio Lapido is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The Art Deco- style building, also known as Palacio Lapido or Palacio de la Tribuna Popular , is located on Avenida 18 de Julio (948-950), corner of Wilson Ferreira Aldunate in Barrio Centro . The multifunctional building, equipped with apartments for residential purposes, business and office space, formerly served as the headquarters of the Uruguayan evening newspaper La Tribuna Popular, which was discontinued in 1960 . The building, built in the Expressionist style between 1929 and 1930, was designed by the architects Juan Aubriot and Ricardo Valabrega . The year 1933 is given as the completion date.

Since 1989 the building has been classified as the Monumento Histórico Nacional .
