The Palais Hohenlohe-Dobner-Dobenau located on the 4th Vienna district , Wieden , in Theresianumgasse 33 near the Theresianum .

history

The Hohenlohe-Dobner-Dobenau Palace was built in 1831 by the architect Anton Grünn as an early historic palace in the style of the New Vienna Renaissance. It comprised the long, 15-axis street wing and a courtyard wing on the right. In 1851 the left wing of the courtyard was added by Andreas Luckeneder . 1861 bought Prince Constantine Hohenlohe , then adjutant , from 1866 until his death in 1896 the first High Steward of Emperor Franz Joseph I , the palace and left it 1861/1862 of Carl Tietz remodel. From 1862 on Hohenlohe lived here with his wife Marie geb. Sayn-Wittgenstein . In 1874 the garden front was redesigned in the French Baroque style.

The two-storey street frontage, which is 15 window axes long, is structured by a three-axis raised central projection that accommodates the portal. The three windows of risalit have Dreiecksgiebelverdachung while the remaining windows of the main floor have a straight Konsolverdachung. The parapet fields are adorned with rich floral decor, which also extends over the balcony parapet with the heraldic cartouche of the central window. The windows on the ground floor, however, are unadorned. The facade is completed by a console cornice with a decorative frieze .
