Palazzo Curti Valmarana is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Sestiere of San Marco , facing the Grand Canal, between the Palazzo Querini Benzon and the Palazzo Corner Spinelli , opposite the Palazzo Querini Dubois .

history

The palace, built in the 17th century and remodeled in the 18th century, belonged to the Venetian branch of the Curti family from Milan and later the Valmarana family .

The four-storey Renaissance palace with a very balanced and harmoniously divided facade shows in the middle of the ground floor a round arch portal to the water and a triple arched window with a protruding balcony on the second main floor, flanked by two pairs of individual arched windows, whereas all other window openings, such as the triple window with balcony in the middle of the first main floor, the two flanking single windows there, the corresponding windows of the mezzanine floor under the roof, as well as the six windows each on the ground floor and mezzanine floor are rectangular. The facade, which is plastered and painted yellow from the first mezzanine floor, ends at the top with a serrated eaves . On the roof there is a dormer window with a rectangular quadruple window.
