Aquarium keeping
It needs 22 to 26 ° C warm water with a pH value of 7 to 8. It is considered a loner and is only suitable for community aquariums to a limited extent because it becomes aggressive with age. He loves live food (e.g. snails), but also accepts frozen food. It should generally be kept in a species aquarium . Dry food is only eaten reluctantly and only after getting used to it. Frequent giving of hard-shelled food (e.g. snails, mussels or Artemia) is important when feeding. Otherwise there may be a blockage of the mouth due to teeth that are not worn. Therefore, a snail farm should be kept in parallel in one tank. Young palembang pufferfish often overeat, causing them to lie on the bottom with their tails and fins folded and stop moving for a while. The offspring of the Palembang puffer fish has not yet succeeded.
