The Pamir is the right source river of the Pandsch in Central Asia .
River course
The river arises in the Pamir Mountains in the autonomous province of Berg-Badachschan in the far east of Tajikistan . It flows from the Zorkulsee at an altitude of 4130 m or arises from its source streams and then flows westward on the border with Afghanistan . At the junction of the towering Pamir and Hindu Kush mountains , it joins the Wachandarja (also called Wachan or Wak ) to the south-east of the 6,726 m high Karl Marx peak near the village of Langar at an altitude of 2,799 m .
Langar, located in Tajikistan near the border with Afghanistan, where a hydroelectric power station was built, is located in a narrow valley between the Hindu Kush and Pamir mountains.
