1971 Pan American Games / Boxing

The 6th men's boxing competitions at the Pan American Games were held from July 25 to August 6, 1971 in the Colombian city of Cali . A new weight class (the light flyweight ) was introduced and, for the first time, two bronze medals per weight class were awarded to the losing semi-finalists in the heavyweight division . A total of 44 medals were awarded in 11 weight classes.
