1983 Pan American Games / Boxing

The 9th men's boxing competitions at the Pan American Games were held from August 14 to August 29, 1983 in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas . A new weight class (the super heavyweight ) was introduced; this was the only one in which no two bronze medals were awarded. A total of 47 medals were awarded in 12 weight classes.
