Pan American Games 2011 / Football

For the sixteenth time, a football tournament was held at Pan-American games in 2011 . It took place in Guadalajara , Mexico between October 19th and 28th, 2011. U-22 teams were eligible to participate, with three players being allowed to exceed this age limit. In contrast to the previous tournaments, the number of participating teams has been reduced from twelve to eight.

  • The Uruguay v Trinidad and Tobago game was rescheduled to October 25 because of its volcanic eruption in Chile with expelled ash, preventing the Uruguayan team from reaching Guadalajara on time.
