The Panbari Himal is a 6905  m high mountain in the Himalayas in Nepal .

The Panbari Himal is located in the Peri Himal on the district border of Gorkha and Manang in the Gandaki administrative zone , 2 km from the Tibetan border. The Manaslu is 20.2 km to the south-southeast. The Panbari Himal forms the highest point at the western end of a ridge that runs north of Larkya La in a west-east direction. To the north of the ridge and on the northeast flank of the Panbari Himal, the Fukan Glacier runs in an easterly direction. The Thoche Glacier flows west of the Panbari Himal in a southerly direction and separates it from the Nemjung ( 7140  m ).

Ascent history

The Panbari Himal was opened to foreign expeditions in 2002. The first ascent of the Panbari Himal was achieved in 2006 by a six-person Japanese expedition. On September 29, 2006, Yoshimi Kato, Gakuto Komiya, Sayaka Koyama, Kenro Nakajima and Yousuke Urabe reached the summit. The ascent route led over the Fukan Glacier to the top of the pass north of the Panbari Himal and from there up the northeast ridge to the summit.
